2019 FIVB Women’s Volleyball Intercontinental Olympic Qualification Tournament

We are a year away from the Summer Olympic Games 2020 and the process of qualifying for the women’s Olympic volleyball tournament has already begun. It’s worth noting that the 2019 FIVB women’s volleyball international Olympic qualification tournament gives the best word’s teams to qualify for the Summer Olympic Games 2020.

You need to know that this tournament gives women’s volleyball teams a great chance to participate in the Olympic tournament. This competition brings together 24 volleyball teams from all over the world. Among the teams that took part in the tournament are: Azerbaijan, Brazil, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Cuba, Italy, Japan, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Mexico, Russia, Serbia, the Dominican Republic, the Netherlands, Poland, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey as well as the United States. The top 6 teams have already qualified for the Olympic Games 2020. These teams include China, Brazil, Italy, Poland, Russia as well as the United States.

The championship began on August 1 in 2019 and lasted till August 4 in 2019. The tournament took place in six cities including Wroclaw (Poland), Ningbo (China), Bossier City (the United States), Uberlandia (Brazil), Kaliningrad (Russia) as well as Catania (Italy).

Such teams as China, Turkey, Germany as well as Check Republic in pool B.

Such teams as Argentina, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan as well as the United States played in pool C.

Such teams as Azerbaijan, Brazil, Cameroon as well as the Dominican Republic played in pool D.

Such teams as Canada, Mexico, Russia as well as South Korea played in pool E.

Such teams as Belgium, Italy, Kenya as well as the Netherlands played in pool F.

Matches of Pool A

The matches of pool A took place in Wroclaw, Poland on 2–4 August in 2019. Serbia took the 1-st place, Poland took the 2-nd place, Thailand took the 3-rd place and Puerto Rico took the 4-th place in pool A.

– Thailand lost to Poland 2 – 3 (Total: 110 – 113, Set 1: 23 – 25, Set 2: 25 – 22, Set 3: 28 – 26, Set 4: 23 – 25, Set 5: 11 – 15);
– Puerto Rico lost to Thailand 1 – 3 (Total: 83 – 96, Set 1: 25 – 21, Set 2: 20 – 25, Set 3: 20 – 25, Set 4: 18 – 25);

Matches of Pool B

The matches of pool B took place in Ningbo, China on 2–4 August 2019. China took the 1-st place, Turkey took the 2-nd place, Germany took the 3-rd place and Czech Republic took the 4-th place in pool B.

The matches of pool C took place in Shreveport-Bossier City, United States on 2–4 August 2019. The United States took the 1-st place, Bulgaria took the 2-nd place, Argentina took the 3-rd place and Kazakhstan took the 4-th place in pool C.

Matches of pool D took place in Uberlandia, Brazil on 1–3 August in 2019. Brazil took the 1-st place, the Dominican Republic took 2-nd place, Azerbaijan took the 3-rd place and Cameron took the 4-th place in pool D.

Matches of pool F took place in Catania, Italy on 2–4 August 2019. Italy took the 1-st place, the Netherlands took the 2-nd place, Belgium took the 3-rd place and Kenya took the 4-th place in pool F.
